MT 7 BLADE PROPELLER

THE “SILENT 7”
On 22nd October 2020 - The Super Legacy XP became the world’s first aircraft to obtain full certification for the brand-new MT Silent seven blade propeller. The Silent 7 MT propeller provides:

Dramatically shorter take off roll
Improved rate of climb
Improved accelerate / stop distance
Improved cruising speed
Reduced noise levels inside and outside the aircraft

The new Super Legacy XP seven blade also improves passenger comfort with significant reductions in vibration and noise -6dB(A) at all cabin positions

The propeller's reduced diameter (260cm) provides better ground clearance, reducing the risk of foreign object damage. Unlike the standard factory propeller, the Silent 7 MT also has the advantage that individual blades can be repaired or replaced in the field.

TECHNOLOGY AND INSTALLER SUPPORT

The Pilatus PC-12 Super Legacy XP features multiple performance upgrades – all of which are certified by both FAA and EASA Supplemental Type Certificates.

All of our upgrades are available to existing Pilatus owners and Super Legacy XP Limited is the exclusive distributor for the Finnoff Pratt & Whitney 67B/67P upgrade programme in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. We provide installer support to MRO facilities and are available to support the worldwide network of Pilatus Authorised Service Centres.

Super Legacy XP Limited is the European distributor for the MT47 Propeller, PC12 Speed Cowl and Skandia Noise reduction system.

POWER PLANT

ENGINE REPLACED AND REFINED

In the Super Legacy XP PC-12 the regular PT6A-67B engine is replaced with the PT6A-67P engine. This provides an additional 200HP and is flat rated to 1200 SHP limit in climb, enabling a faster direct climb to 30,000 feet at any weight and temperature combination.

Cruise speed is also increased based on altitude and OAT. The new “P” engine incorporates the use of the latest metallurgical science, producing a new generation of engine with greater thermodynamic efficiency allowing for higher maximum temperatures. The nickel superalloy single-crystal turbine blades incorporate metals with very beneficial properties for the engine which can maintain power to higher altitudes due to higher thermodynamic power and higher pressure ratio.

ELECTRICAL

FULL POWER

The newly-designed accessory gear box allows dual 300 amp generators which boost the aircraft’s total generating capacity to 600 amps. This provides substantial capacity for considerably more electrical power in the event of a Generator 1 failure enabling important equipment such as de-ice heat and avionics to continue functioning.

With over forty of these upgrades performed during the past five years, Super Legacy XP owners benefit from a seven-year Pratt & Whitney Engine Warranty.

AVIONICS

The Super Legacy XP is equipped with the latest Garmin avionics. More pilots are familiar with the easier to use Garmin system. This comes in 200 pounds lighter than the Pilatus NG’s Honeywell Apex and allows more passenger payload and fuel.

Garmin Pilot is a powerful app which enables destination and route pre-planning on iPad (or other tablet). Once onboard, simply connect via Bluetooth “connected cockpit” and you’re ready to fly.

SAFETY

A Super Legacy XP is a safety-prioritised airplane. The Pratt & Whitney turbine engine is a legend of reliability, having clocked up more than 380 million flight hours. This ultra modern, highly sophisticated aircraft far exceeds the most stringent requirements of civil aviation authorities.

Typically over-specified, the dual electrical system includes two separate batteries. Pneumatic de-icing systems are installed in the wing and tail, while electrical de-icing measures are integrated into the windshield, with exhaust heat used for engine de-icing.

Independent verification has proved that one engine is just as safe as two. Indeed, a second engine diminishes returns, adding extra weight that requires additional fuel, reducing range and payload.

SPEED

No other plane has a better balance of speed, range, landing capability, payload, passenger comfort and convenience. With an excellent climb rate of 25,000 feet in just 18 minutes and cruising at 328 mph, the Pilatus principle is about overall journey speed.​

ECONOMY

The Super Legacy XP is unmatched for both economy of operation and ownership. The average new Pilatus NGX costs almost US$6million and has a waiting list of well over a year. The pre-owned market is solid, with depreciation of less than three per cent per year.
